Toddler Tastebuds

I took my son into the doctor's office today where he was diagnosed with an ear infection. The medicine prescribed for him supposedly tastes like bubblegum.

However, not only will my son not willingly take any medicine--no matter how "good" it tastes-- he won't even take it when I try to mix it up in ice cream or orange juice. He'll eat or drink a little, but never the entire serving. It's like he KNOWS something is up.

But he does enjoy the flavor of Wal-Mart shopping carts and Subway restaurant booth seats, both of which he tasted on his own over the last week.

(Hmmmm. I wonder where he picked up the germs that gave him the ear infection?)
